SRT is a specialist provider of refrigerated transport and warehouse services to the wholesale and retail food industries in, predominately, the Tasmanian and Victorian markets.

SRT is the only Tasmanian transport company that services every town in Tasmania, every week without the use of on-forwarders. The fleet is capable of carrying dry, frozen and chilled foods on the same vehicle.

We work closely with our customers to ensure that their products are transported, stored and delivered under their specified refrigerated transport requirements and in accordance with SAI Global's HACCP certification.

Transport and Distribution

SRT Logistics offers a complete transport and distribution service to our key markets in Tasmania and Victoria as well as a national transport service to all other states through forwarding partners.

SRT Logistics boasts a comprehensive range of refrigerated and dry grocery equipment ranging from small delivery vans through to B Double trucks. We currently have in excess of 186 registered vehicles on the road including 38 small vans and heavy rigids, 36 prime movers and over 90 trailers and reefer containers.

SRT Logistics’ coverage of Tasmania is second to none. We service every corner of the state through our three distribution facilities. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and we employ staff directly and only operate with labour hire in the busiest time of the year. This ensures that we hand selected people and trucks delivering our premium service to our customers.

SRT Logistics is the only transport company in Tasmania that can boast a service that covers every single town in the state every week.

Our transport services in Victoria operate from our distribution centre in Laverton North. This branch is also our HUB for logistics planning and coordination of all shipping services in and out of Tasmania. SRT Logistics is the only provider shipping to and from Tasmania that can provide a refrigerated door-to-door freight service.

Warehousing

SRT Logistics operates four distributions centres: Brighton (South), Western Junction (North) and Quoiba (North West Coast) in Tasmania and Laverton North in Victoria.

All of our sites operate with dedicated refrigerated storage and each has refrigerated cross-docking environments with sealed loading docks to ensure the temperature integrity of your perishable goods isn’t broken.At each of these sites we offer chilled, frozen and dry storage. Each site has a team of dedicated warehouse professionals providing storage and pick & pack services as well as cross-dock and deconsolidation.

Our teams manage the warehousing and distribution functions for some of Australia’s premier food brands. We are entrusted with ensuring our customers’ goods are cared for in high quality facilities that meet the most stringent standards. All of our sites are regularly audited and we maintain accreditations to HACCP, WQA, YUM Brands and others.

Trans Bass Shipping

In 2007 SRT Logistics expanded from transport within Tasmania to providing refrigerated transport service across Bass Strait. With our partner TT Line we can offer a six day a week service all year round and a seven day a week during peak season.

In 2010 SRT partnered with Searoad Shipping. Searoad now ship a steady percentage of our shipping volume and offer a different service to the TT Line that suits regular shipping of our company owned 40 foot reefer containers.

With the support of both TT Line and Searoad, we are able to offer a reliable Trans Bass service that meets and/or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
